A Coupled Hydrologic-Economic Modeling Framework for Scenario Analysis

چکیده

To capture the interactions between hydrologic and economic systems necessary for modeling water quality at a sufficient level of spatial detail, we have designed modular framework that couples an model with watershed model. represent system, Rectangular Choice-of-Technology (RCOT) was used because it represents both physical monetary aspects activities and, unlike traditional input-output or general equilibrium models, can optimize choices among operational technologies in addition to amount location production. For first implementation this framework, RCOT is coupled model, Hydrological Simulation Program-Fortran (HSPF), which calibrated Cedar Run Watershed northern Virginia. This analyze eight scenarios related expansion agricultural activity Fauquier County. The database county-level data representative region 2012. Thus, when crop farming expanded fully utilize farmland available watershed, nitrogen concentration outflow increased from 0.6 4.3 mg/L. However, could select standard more nitrogen-efficient management practice, only 2.6 mg/L selected resource-efficient practice. Building on future work will involve designing realistic test policy options regional planning decisions wide range watersheds.

A tightly coupled GIS and distributed hydrologic modeling framework

Distributed, physics-based hydrologic models require spatially explicit specification of parameters related to climate, geology, land-cover, soil, and topography. Extracting these parameters from national geodatabases requires intensive data processing. Furthermore, mapping these parameters to model mesh elements necessitates development of data access tools that can handle both spatial and tem...

A Multi-Scenario Zero-Energy Building Techno-Economic Case Study Analysis for a Renovation of a Residential Building

According to the previous pieces of research, the building sector consumes about 40 % of total yield energy and produce one-third of GHG pollution emission. This point shows the significant potential in two aspects of energy optimization and pollution reduction in this field. The purpose of this research as a case study is to construct a residential building and develop the paths for reaching a...

SDLMAS: A Scenario Modeling Framework for Multi-Agent Systems

In this paper we analyze existing methods and languages for modeling agent interactions and propose a SDLMAS Framework for rapid design, development and runtime support of multi-agent systems. The framework provides a simple but expressive declarative language for modeling complex interactions among agents. Proposed language is based on scenarios, sequences of conversation actions directed towa...
